The EU's newly revised
energy-saving label will take effect for
five product categories on March 1, 2021
(EU Energy Efficiency)
The European Commission's Energy-Saving
Design Directive (2005/32/EC) aims to reduce
the impact of energy-consuming products
(ErP) on the environment, including energy
consumption during the entire life cycle of
the product. This directive sets out a
framework.
The newly
revised EU energy saving label will take
effect on March 1, 2021 for five product
categories. In the updated label, the
product currently with the highest grade may
receive a grade as low as C. In order to
continue to attract consumers at a high
level, many manufacturers have begun to
redesign their appliances to greatly
increase efficiency.
Power supply
(transformer) energy efficiency level 6 is
the highest standard of current mandatory
regulations since February 2016. |
